Employment Experience Fair
2012 Event Details
Date: Wednesday 1 August 2012
Time: 12noon - 3:00pm
Venue: Wilson Hall, The University of Melbourne.
Pricing
Cost: Registration is $800 (+ GST). This is reduced to $750 (+ GST) if you have your own banners and do not require a backing board.
Power: An additional $50 (+ GST) per booth if you require power.
Catering: Provided free for up to 3 delegates. An additional $35 (+ GST) will apply if a fourth delegate attends.
Cancellation Policy: A cancellation fee of 100% applies within 28 days of the fair.
All bookings include:
- Booth space
- Table
- Two chairs (more can be provided upon request)
- Catering for up to 3 delegates
- Promotion via Careers Online, the university's jobs and events database
Bookings:
Bookings will open on Monday 4 June via Careers Online.
Parking / Taxis
We don't provide parking but we can direct you to where you are able to park within the university grounds and also provide you with alternative parking locations. Details will be sent to you along with your booking confirmation.
Due to large employer attendance, we are unable to arrange taxis for each organisation. We can, however, provide delegates with a transport option document on the day of the fair.
Volunteer organisations / Unpaid work
This fair caters only for organisations that offer paid vacation programs, internships and cooperative placements.

About the 2011 Employment Experience Fair
The 2011 Employment Experience Fair provided a fantastic opportunity for students to find out more about vacation work programs, cooperative placements, paid internships and overseas employment.
Approximately 2,000 students visited the fair at Wilson Hall and more than 35 organisations exhibited including local and international employers and departments from within the University of Melbourne. Employers appreciated the opportunity to meet talented University of Melbourne students and made comments such as:
- “Students were engaged and very interested in our programs”.
- “Very high calibre of students”.
- "Students were informed and asked some great questions".
Employers were impressed with the Employment Experience Fair and made comments such as:
- “Well organised and any queries were dealt with in a timely and professional manner."
- “Organised and helpful staff on-hand to assist from start to finish!"
- "Very well organised, we felt very well looked after".
