Event Guidelines for Student Societies
Careers & Employment holds the key responsibility for liaising with employers to coordinate their recruitment activities. It is important for faculty/department staff and student society representatives to discuss proposed plans and to coordinate all employer events in conjunction with Careers & Employment. This is to avoid ‘clashes’, which occur when employers who are recruiting students from the same disciplines have their events scheduled to run concurrently.
Student societies need to ensure that their activities do not replicate the services provided to employers by Careers & Employment.
Careers & Employment are happy to help promote student society events more widely on campus via the Careers Online e-bulletin and the events diary. Careers & Employment can also provide advice and support on organising employer related activities.
