Job Search Intensive for recent Arts grads

Date: Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th February 2012
Time: 9:30am – 1:00pm each day (there will be a mid-morning break with morning tea provided)
Venue: Engineering B-313

Bookings

Bookings are required and can be made via Careers Online.
Numbers are limited so please book only if you are committed to attending.

Description

The program runs across two half-days and is designed to provide recent graduates with information and strategies to assist with finding employment.

Day One:

Two informal seminars:

Although there will be input on types of opportunities available to Arts grads, you will get more out of the day if you have thought beforehand about what sort of work you are looking for. Also, given the range of majors in Arts, the input on types of jobs will be on opportunities of general relevance to Arts grads.

If you have little idea about what sort of work you are looking for, or want to look specifically at options related to your major, consider also making a Careers Consultation appointment. Search for those targeted for Arts students.

Day Two:

Seminar - Preparing for Interviews (‘how can I prepare for an interview when they could ask me anything’?)

A workshop to practise interview skills
