Careers Fairs

Careers Fairs provide you with a chance to liaise with employers who are recruiting from your discipline and can offer you a graduate or vacation work position.

They are great networking opportunities and you should make sure you prepare beforehand and research the employers who are attending the event. You will make a good impression if you have some insightful and pertinent questions to ask! Interacting with employers has more information.

Our two main careers fairs are:

Graduate Careers Fair

This is our largest event and is staged early in semester one at the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Gardens. You can usually expect 100 to 150 employers to participate.

The majority of employers attending the Graduate Careers Fair offer structured graduate employment programs and actively recruit final year students to commence full-time employment with them in the following year.

You’ll get to meet a variety of employers including accounting, law and insurance companies, investment banks, management consultancies as well as local, state and federal government departments.

Go to Online Career Tools (Seminar Downloads) to obtain a list of organisations who attended in 2012.

In 2012 the Graduate Careers Fair was held on Wednesday 7 March from 12noon to 4:00pm.

Employment Experience Fair

This fair gives you the chance to connect with employers who offer a variety of work experience opportunities including:
